LELAND/NBSD MERGER PROPOSAL
Did you know that there is a proposal to merge the
Town of Leland and the North Brunswick Sanitary District (NBSD)?
The Wilmington Star-News has reported that the proposal is slated
to be considered for public referendum by the General Assembly next
year. If the proposed merger were to be approved, it would mean
that Town of Leland/NBSD entity would have the power to determine
the water/sewer rates that the residents of Belville, Navassa, and
the unincorporated areas serviced by NBSD must pay. Why not contact
your elected officials and let them know your thoughts on the proposed
merger?
